Stage Rally Championship
in association with B.P. Motor Bodybuilders & Engineers


The CMSGCC will promote a Stage Rally Championship (MSA Championship Permit Number 2010/5703) consisting of selected events which take place in the area between 1st January and 31st December 2010.   There will be a £10 registration fee for this Championship for each competitor and points will only be awarded for events entered after registration.

The Championship comprises of 12 rounds, and a competitors best SIX scores from the year will count towards both their Overall & Class placings, with no more than FOUR scores from either side of the season split being included - due to event dates this year, the split will take place on 31st May.

Should any of the events not run, counting rounds will be amended thus:-

Points will be awarded to both driver and co-driver per event entered as follows:-
Overall    1st - 25 points    2nd - 24 points    3rd - 23 points
               and so on down to 1 point for 25th place
               In addition, each competitor who starts an event will gain 5 points
Class        1st - 15 points    2nd - 14 points    3rd - 13 points
               and so on down to 1 point for 15th place
               In addition, each competitor who starts an event will gain 1 point
To score points, a competitor must have had their entry accepted by the event organisers and the competitor needs to have signed-on to start the event.

Should a competitor change classes, as long as they adhere to the class rules, class points already gained will be frozen, but they will keep any points gained in the overall placings.

Classes are A - up to 1400cc, B - 1401cc-1600cc, C - 1601cc-2000cc, D - over 2000cc, and Historic
4WD cars are excluded and all forced induction cars must have their original engine & transmission configuration.

If an event organiser is unable to resolve a tie, both competitors will receive the same points and the next competitor two points less - should three crews be tied, the next competitor will receive three points less, et cetera.  Ties at the end of the season will be resolved by:-
i)    Least number of events entered
ii)   Lowest Capacity (overall only)
iii)  Highest position on any event in the Championship
iv)  Highest number of maximum points

End of season awards will be presented to:-

1st Overall Driver Award & Perpetual Trophy
1st Overall Co-Driver Award & Perpetual Trophy
1st in Class Award (subject to 3 registered class contenders)
2nd in Class Award (subject to 5 registered class contenders)
3rd in Class Award (subject to 7 registered class contenders)

Award notes:-
-    Drivers of cars with engines from alternative manufacturers other than that of the original specification, will not be eligible for Marque Awards - a cars engine block and head(s) must carry the stamp of the original manufacturer.
-    To be eligible for either of the Under 25 Years Of Age awards, competitors must be under the age of 25 years old on 1st January 2010
-    Apart from marque and under 25 awards, no competitor may win more than one award.

All perpetual awards/trophies remain the property of the CMSG/CMSGCC and are to be returned to a CMSG Official when requested.
