The Rob Greenwood 'King Of Down Ampney' Challenge
in association with B.P. Motor Bodybuilders & Engineers

In February 2010, motor sport in the Cotswolds lost one of its most amazing and knowledgeable characters.  The passing of Rob Greenwood was a great loss to local motor sport and in his memory, the CMSG have set up a Challenge.

As most of us knew 'Big Rob' (and his white Maestro van bedecked with orange flashing light!) thanks to his input at his 'home' stage rally venue, Down Ampney, the Rob Greenwood 'King Of Down Ampney' Challenge has been created.

With the approval and assistance of the three motor clubs organising stage rallies at Down Ampney in 2010 (Cheltenham Motor Club, Cirencester Car Club & EMCOS) as well as the CMSGCC, the Challenge:-
- does not cost to enter

- will be contested over all three stages rallies run at Down Ampney (17th April, 29th May & 26th June)
- is open to any competitor competing in a 2WD car as long as they sign on representing a CMSG Member Club
- will be class based (up to 1400cc, 1401cc-1600cc, 1601cc-2000cc, over 2000cc, and Historics)
- awards 1 point for signing on to start each Down Ampney stage rally
- gives 15 points for finishing 1st in each class, decreasing by one point down to 15th in each class
- will present awards to the 1st driver and 1st co-driver in each class at the end of the season

All perpetual awards/trophies remain the property of the CMSG/CMSGCC and are to be returned to a CMSG Official when requested.  Full Challenge details are available from Andy Conway.
